Ranching and farming have been central to valley life since before settlement began. Compiled in 2013, this booklet provides a general overview of the ranching tradition, as well as the influence of settlement companies in promoting fruit farming in the area in the years immediately before the First World War. A brief summary of individual ranches/properties is also included, illustrated by assorted photos from the Museum collection.

Perfect for genealogists or those tracing family history in the valley, this report provides a brief history of the Windermere Cemetery, some FAQs regarding researching people in the valley, and a variety of plot maps of the cemetery itself. Its main contribution, however, is a detailed (and indexed) list of those buried there.

Compiled for the centenary of the start of the First World War (1914/2014), this report provides an overview of the war and its impact on the Windermere Valley, and documents 164 men with valley ties who fought in the conflict.
